As a student, he received his Masters Degree in clinical Social
Work from the California State University at Sacramento. His book-length
master's thesis,"The Health Risk Factors and Policies of the National
School Lunch Program" was a pioneering expose on the under-recognized
health dangers of the U.S. government-administered school lunch
programs. He went on to author four legislative reform bills for
the Hawaii State Senate and House to help improve school lunches.
As a health and mental health professional, he is a licensed independent
social worker in both Hawaii and New Mexico. He is also a certified
nutrition counselor and licensed massage therapist.
As an educator, he was on the teaching faculty of the Elisabeth
Kubler-Ross Hospice, Grief Counseling, and Death Education Program
at Northern New Mexico Community College.
As a writer, his publishing credits have primarily been in the
fields of health, mental health and spirituality. He has been published
in national magazines such as Whole Life Times, Yoga Journal, Meditation
Magazine, Evolving Times and others.
As a ghost writer, his writings have been presented at the United
Nations Third International Conference on Health and the Environment.
As a spokesperson, he has appeared on numerous television and
radio shows speaking on the subjects of conscious living/conscious
dying, holistic health and practical spirituality.
As a spiritual aspirant, he was initiated by Sant Darshan Singh
(1921-1989) in 1975 and presently seeks spiritual guidance from
the present living spiritual teacher, Sant Rajinder Singh.
In addition to the above, Mr. Rosen's professional milestones
have included being personal assistant, nutritionist, massage therapist
and vegetarian chef for actor/director Danny DeVito and other entertainment
industry stars; produced and hosted the Los Angeles-based radio
show Health-Choice; and performed as a professional drummer throughout
the U.S. He presently lives in Pahoa, Hawaii.
